Nice Purchase. I think you will find local parts suppliers to be more expensive than the major British Parts houses. They have been when I have needed things.
Just had to do a road Repair. U-joint from Advanced was $28. Verses $18 or less I usually pay. But I needed it right away.

TVR Club of North America will be a good source of information.
Thought so, too. I am not a member so I can't get past where you enter a username & password.
For some strange reason, 6-Pack.org forums are the best I've ever found- anywhere.Walt

My brother-in-law owns a TVR 5000M - he's had it a long time and finds it difficult to find some parts, particularly glass, radiator, trim, etc.
He also has to redo his carpets and found this place in Belgium that makes kits for TVRs... http://www.lakewell.com/
Heat in the cockpit is indeed an issue - consider installing Hushmat or a similar product before you install the carpet.Derek M

Also, saw DesignEngineering.com on an episode of My Classic Car today.
They attached just a 2"x2" square piece of their BoomMat sound insulating material onto a brass cymbal from a drum kit. When they hit the cymbal with a drumstick (nowhere near the location of the attached piece of insulating material), it sounded like they were striking a piece of wood! It absolutely *killed* any sound vibration capability of the cymbal! Pretty surprising.
Although, come to think of it, I suppose the same would happen if one were to simply hold the edge of the cymbal with thumb & forefinger, & then hit it with a drumstick.... guess it would destroy the sound resonance of the brass. But, in that case, the cymbal is being *held*. The demo on TV just had this little patch attached to the cymbal, which was still free to move on the mount.
Anyway, I thought it was an interesting demo & then I started thinking that if I were going to do some carpet replacement in the TVR, perhaps I should consider sound & heat insulation under it.
Ah, one can just keep buying more & more stuff !!!
