    "Never been redone."

    But has a fresh rebuilt engine and more overspray than paint.

    Seems this one has issues; appears a very tired LBC
    Paint shines but little else.

      But didn't you see the the perfectly straight frame rails in the engine compartment picture?

        The title is original.

        Why is it leaning in the front view?

            Based on the condition of the wood dash and the muffler, this TR has seen a lot of water and humid conditions.
            No decals at the back of the rear fenders!

              C'mon gents. That high altitude storage "10 feet off the ground" has to count for something. Maybe a buck or two.

                    I'd give it a look were I after a TR6 and it were near to me. Looks pretty decent to me in the pics, for the money.

                    Steering wheel looks pretty good for its age. Aluminum trim rings look fine from a distance.

                    Of course it's been repainted; the sills are body color. The door gaps and hood shut lines look good to me.

                    Giving it the benefit of the doubt, I'd say the lean is due to the even surface it's parked on.

                    Sure, the scant photo sampling leaves plenty of room for doubt, but aren't we a bit jaded?

                      Accident damage poorly repaired:

                      left side of car DOES sit higher than right side, from frame being bent- as Greg pointed out;
                      left side rear view mirror not replaced after accident;
                      black paint not replaced behind grille;
                      under grille trim piece not replaced after accident;
                      non-matching headlamps;
                      numerous paint chips in front;
                      left front tire over-inflated;

                      Interior:
                      wood dash veneer badly damaged from water intrusion;
                      left door card damaged at window winder;
                      dash pad top badly damaged on left side;
                      kidney pads missing from both sides;
                      hand brake button appears to be missing;
                      at pedal cluster, level of brake & clutch do not match;
                      left seat vinyl torn in multiple places;
                      right door card damaged at pocket;

                      side gaps mismatched on boot lid;
                      right tail lamp crooked;
                      over-spray red on underside of vehicle, rear view;
                      BL badges not present;

                      Commission ID label missing from top of left front wheel-well arch;
                      radiator shroud not present;
                      large splotches of incorrect red paint on both sills, right front side black showing through- as Henri notes, possible rust present;
                      engine bay over-spray red on accelerator linkage, choke cable, heater cable;
                      rusted heater switch & brake booster;
                      brake fluid reservoir fluid very dark;
                      fuel line replaced & poorly routed;

                      Seller warns buyers to stay away when he states that 3 potential buyers have reneged on their purchase offers.
                      This car would warrant a careful inspection by a knowledgeable TR specialist- most particularly to correct the accident damaged frame.
                      At $5,000., it might be worth saving.
                      Depends on the outcome of the frame inspection- it might be rotted, as well as bent.

                        Are those rust bubbles at the front edge of the two rocker/sill panels?
                        Red paint behind the front grille, another sign of a re-spray.
                        The seller states that 3 buyers backed out of thee deal. Really?

                          I am sort of with Tom on this one. It ain't great but it is not horrible either. It does lean and you would want to understand what is going on there. The dash condition is not likely due to moisture so much as temperature swings. The old varnish will flake off like this from temperature swings - ask me how I know.

                          BL badges were never carried on the 1970s. The commission plate was also moved to the left "B" post on the 70. It is not clear of the tail light is crooked or the 1970 reflectors are crooked.

                          Yes, I would give it a look. Think the price is high but maybe if was very solid underneath.

                            Cyg,
                            Look at the mold, mildew, & water stains on the left side of the wood dash. (Not referring to the ripples.)
                            I am referring to the paper stick 'em backed label that should be atop the center of the wheel-well arch. (not a big deal, just wasn't replaced)
                            Look at the right tail light from above- last photo- it's crooked. (not a big deal, but they are very expensive)

                              Does the later intake manifold fit on a 1970 engine or has this car had an engine swap?
