  • Long Time!

Nice to see I still have a log-in here. B)

I sold my '73 TR-6 sometime back (my avatar, and some four years ago), and find myself drawn to the idea of another one, despite my need to try all interesting cars ever made. I just sold, of all things, a Factory Five Cobra to my best friend. It was fun, but I know TR's are fun too, and just miss the character. I was eyeballing this on BaT this morning and remembered this site, and all the great folks that were on it.

It's a color change, but looks very nicely sorted out. Anything stand out as a flag? I'm not seeing much wrong here.

Anyway, I looked up my old thread where I left, and suggested that I may be back "one day." If not this, then maybe another, but it is starting to look like maybe "one day."

    Best,

    Robert

    Welcome back!
The only thing I spotted at first glance is the carbon canister is missing.

Thank you. That, and to me this is screaming for some redlines. :P

I'm glad you said that. I noticed this car is wearing Capitol Sport tires....these are Chinese-manufactured, and have about as much grip as a banana skin. I bought a set when I first got my car and subsequently got rid of them for a set of Coopers after my first trip in the rain.

A couple of other things, the vacuum retard is blocked off (so is mine) and the battery hold down bar is upside down, note the piece of hose near the pos. terminal. Right side up, the bar does not foul the battery post.
Also, the aux. oil feed to the cylinder head/rocker assembly is present. Mileage is probably 100,000 + whats shown on the clock.

Thanks! So the tires gotta go, and some other minor stuff.

Also, gotta do something about this gauge peering out from the upper part of the center stack. At first I thought I was seeing things.

That choke cable looks wonky too.
