Yes, totally, and wished I had connected with you guys, prior to the eBay bidding. LOL.
Is there a chance that this car could be "special" in someway ?

No overdrive, no hardtop, nothing special but the color is rare -
of course, you could have any TR6 painted that color for a few thou & you'd have fresh paint.

Could be false 'shill' bidding to drive up the price. Maybe that's why the previous 'top bidder' backed out. Popular game on e-bay.

You could just make your best offer direct to the seller & let it go at that.
It always takes $1-2,000. to sort an old TR.

I agree with Walt, take Todd with you. The owner will pay you to take it off his hands and have it delivered to your doorstep for free.

Cincinnati, Ohio, Beautiful Country, drove my Triumph GT6 across Ohio in 1978. Loved the FireFlies at nights, a rare treat to see for a AZ Desert Rat....

Good luck Ed, you won’t go wrong with the buyer’s guide even if it had Manuel’s transmission and lived in Ben’s garage

I used to be an electrical engineer. These cars are usually pretty simple but some people tend to complicate them with things like 3 Webers then wonder why they don’t run

There’s what seems to be a very nice French blue 74 TR6 with around 28,000 miles for sale on Facebook Marketplace in Frederick, MD. Asking $15,000.
                      1973 TR6, BRG w/bone interior; restoration completed 2017
1968 TR250, started complete restoration Sep 2017; currently BRG but going back to original Signal Red

Or this one...too bad he’s not familiar with properly lowering a convertible top. Perhaps another topic in the buyers guide??

Thanks Todd. I've noticed , very recently, more of this color coming up for sale, prior years, that was not the case so much. The Market maybe changing a bit. Ed
