  • Fuel Injection for Triple SZ's, SU's or Single Carb S/C

Rick Patton advises me that he can now convert the triple carbs to throttle body injection (TBI). He is also looking into TBI for the single carb superchargers. This is great news.

Any interest should be directed to Rick at the link below.

The tri-carb info isn't posted to his site yet but the price will an additional $500 bringing the kit total to $2199.99 with the ignition conversion i.e.Rick can take your stock Lucas distributor and convert it to full electronics controlled by the ECM.

His site will be updated pretty soon so in the meantime just email him at the link Al posted above.

Hi Bob. Will it be possible to upgrade if we're already using his system?

Paul......As I recall Eric liked the adapters, TPS and ignition but wanted to go the MegaSquirt route

David......good question. I'd assume that it would just require a chip flash but hopefully Rick is lurking and will respond.

              Hi,

              Rick here. Appreciate the interest.

Updating from dual to triple TBI will be possible but at this time I can't say for sure what the cost might be. It involves adding another injector, a TBI adapter, adding another circuit to the harness, adding another driver circuit to the ECM, and updating the chip program. Updating the ECM would require returning it or possibly making an exchange.

I will look into the cost and post it to my web site within the next week or so.

              thanks for your support,

Dang, Paul, that would mean we would have to change our tripleZS emblems to tripleZSinjected.

That's even more reason to actually get mine out of the garage and get those two new emblems installed. I promised my self that I would not touch the car or my golf clubs until there was no more that I could do to stay ahead of the construction crew and that should be by the end of next week.

My 'triple ZS's' are going on the bottom of each of the front fenders, just ahead of the blue B/L emblem. Ala, 60's muscle car style.
