  • Switched Front Marker Lenses

I watch a lot of TR6 YouTube vids and have been to many British car shows over the last 45+ years and there's one thing I've noticed (among other things) that for some reason, bugs me.
About 1 in 10 TR6's that I see, have the front marker lenses switched, right to left, with the thicker portion of the lens to the rear.
I point this out to some owners and some get offended for some reason.
I've put this topic here in the Concours section for obvious reasons and I firmly subscribe to the notion that one can do with their car what one wants.
Lord knows what folks think of the mods meself have done.
Oh, and by the way, the lenses are indeed marked, "L" and "R" if you look closely.

240Z Cars are notorious for that. Their side markers are tapered with the larger side toward the front or the rear, so the lens is relatively a straight line/plane on the side of the car, and not the other way which tapers with the lines of the car.

Hard to explain, but one of those things that if you know, you know.

Like our reversed wipers when we first got our car and the old salts pointed it out to me.

At the field meet yesterday, 3 out of 20 TR6s had these lenses switched.
