Quite a bit different from the TR6, but the retractor actually works way better.

Hilarious read Ed! I'd love to see you do Youtube vids.
When the 6-Pack website gets around to devoting a new category to the site for the GT6, you should be the moderator.
Thanks for a good chuckle, especially the self depricating remarks about being an engineer.

Well done as always Ed. Interestingly, those ends with the sprung keepers are still used in Airbus helicopters today. They are probably a hangover from similar vintage aircraft to the GT6 but as part of a type certificate they are next to impossible (or not worth the cost of certifying) something new.

Ha! My inner engineer can't juggle, so I end up buying more stuff than I tear apart and feebly *attempt* to fix!

Good job right there. Entertaining and Educational.

Thanks, Guys. I appreciate the comments.

Charlie, that's interesting about the aircraft. I guess that's part of the demand that keeps these retractors in production.

Possibly. Some interesting cross pollination though!

Great stuff Ed! Haha like the corvette parts. And the banter. 👍
