  • 1966 Triumph 2000 on Bring a Trailer

Another cool 'other' Triumph on Bring a Trailer this morning:

    1966 Triumph 2000 SEm Sedan

I know nothing about this car and have no financial interest, but I think it's a great looking car.

I also wouldn't mind owning the 1976 Alfa Romeo GTV that was just posted...

Had one of those for several years, not as nice as that one though.
In fact it was far worse.
Always meant to restore it, but finally traded it for a TR6 reconditioned cylinder head.
Always thought of them as a poor man's XJ6, although I think they were about the same price when new.

My second car in the UK was one of these, a 1968 - KTB 620F was the registration plate - Trafalgar Blue with black leather seats - very comfortable cruising car. I paid £300 for it back in the mid seventies, wish I still had it! (or even pictures of it).

I nearly bought it this morning. It was only the thought that divorces are expensive that stopped me...

If it had been a 2.5 Pi I'd have taken my chances.

            it's a lovely car.
            I'm really not that interesting...

That car is definitely cool. Love the red interior. Don't love the 3 speed slushbox. It's really atrocious! Now, if it had been a MKII 2.5PI then the kitty might be a bit lighter.

Even with the slushbox I wonder if it's faster than der Komiszar Kar?

I was looking at one of these at VTR last year. I think they grow on you more in real life than they do in pictures. Huuge back seat perfect for...er...um....carrying picnic baskets.
