  • Meet Waldo

After being on a waiting list for 3 years, "Waldo" is now home. He came from a breeder in Schomberg, Ontario, (near Tush), and we drove 12 hours to Niagara Falls, NY to pick him up after the pet transporter brought him across the border and through customs. Dee always wanted a tri-colored Bernedoodle and now she has 8 week old Waldo.

We were set to get a pup in March, but then Covid struck and the border was closed. All's well that ends well.
    Cheers,
    Wolf

They grow so fast. Almost exactly one year between these two pics of Chippie the Dog. In the second one, he's about 70 pounds.

          that's cool, kevin. congrats.

i met with a breeder earlier this month and she said the soonest i could get one (scotch collie) was april. just before christmas she posted that she had pups available. turns out, one of her gals is a bit of a slattern and was knocked up at the time i visited (the breeder didn't know). unfortunately, given some insight to the mom's lineage, i didn't want one of her issue, so i'm on the list for the next batch with another one of her gals.

gotta say, this whole dog business is way more complicated than when i was a kid and we went to the pound and picked one up and took it home. i actually have a "consultant" to help me navigate the process. then again, that consultant is my daughter (also a breeder), so it works out.

you've got a good looking pup there. but i have to ask, "Where?"

Uh, not sure what you're asking...."where" is the breeder located or where do we live? If it's the second, Defiance, Mo.
If it's the first, Swiss Ridge Kennels, Schomberg, Ontario.

Keep an eye on those tennis balls. I lost an entire night's sleep and a bottle of carpet cleaner when one of my puppies ate one (chewed into tiny pieces). It wasn't a pretty sight!

Apparently, young puppies and British sports cars are strikingly similar. Timing must be just right and they like to mark their territory.

                  Cheers,
