  • Pickleball Anyone?

I'm 72 and I started playing tennis at 12 and remained competitive for many years. About 5 years ago I discovered Pickleball and haven't looked back. Yea... I know the name is stupid but the game is great. I've won gold at two US Opens in the 4.0/70 bracket along with numerous regional events..... so who else plays PB?

Other than iodine free salt, what's the difference, PB?

The taste....To me a kosher pickle is great on the side with a Ruben, but it has no place in a hamburger.

Well, my mom plays Pickle ball. she's 71.

i haven't played tennis in 25 years. Which is a shame because it is a great game. I was just talking about it yesterday and how many tennis courts have gone away in 30 years in my home town.

There's this expression...... Pickleball...making tennis courts great again!

      Two things are happening:
      • Tennis courts are being dual lined for PB with portable nets being used. You can get 6 PB courts on 2 tennis courts
      • Tennis courts are being replaced by permanent dedicated PB courts
PB is a far more social sport than tennis. In PB, most of the play is Open play where people just show up and games are made. This past Sunday we had 34 people show up to play on 6 courts. the ages ranged from teenagers to 74. Teams are formed, games of 11 points are played and when done another team plays.

Tsk Tsk.... try it some time... you'll be surprised how foolish the "geezers" make you look..... and the growth of the sport isn't even with the geezers..... it's with the under 30 crowd.
