David Dawson emailed me about the article this afternoon; I went and found the magazine and read Tad's story.
I emailed Tad a thanks for the kind words.
He emailed me back, saying he didn't know it had been published in this issue.
I remember the incident...it was kind of tough figuring out what a 'thingy' was  especially when there was more than one...but I think Tad was under pressure being on the side of the road and all..... :S with the phone battery fading out.

        Hmmmm...haven't gotten a copy yet.

Don't remember, but I hope there's a specific mention in the article about 6-Pack.

And, again, thanks to Ken and all the members of the forum for helping me during that unfortunate time. As I recall, there was a fairly lengthy and robust thread on here, stepping me through the repair.

        edit (found it): http://www.6-pack.org/j15/index.php/forum/15-mechanical-repair-maintenance-a-restoration/256149-It-Had-to-Happen-Eventually

(also thanks to david stuursma at moss...he's the guy silly enough to encourage my stories...i think he's on here)

There are many out there who could have written this article BUT only one Ken. Thanks for all the people you have helped and touched with your knowledge and kindness.

                    meandering
how much fun would life be if all we did was drive on straight-line interstates from point A to point B?

don't we all enjoy the twisties, never sure what's behind the next blind curve, forgetting periodically the point, simply living in the moment?

i agree; i'll never get a job writing TripTiks for AAA.

 not a critique mind you, merely a descriptive term. I like your writing as the reader rarely know what awaits after the turn.

First thing I read when I got my issue Saturday.
The whole issue is all about LBC enthusiasts helping each other out.
                              Just like here.
                              Well done Tad!
