  • Michelin Redline Tires

I'm wondering what the general consensus would be on what to do with a set of 4 Michelin 185-15 Redlines. They were on my TR6 which I bought in July and I've now received my Vredensteins from Tire Rack. They are actually in pretty decent shape (cosmetically) and "might" be useful to someone??? Perhaps someone who trailers their car to shows and is more concerned about originality. I thought about listing them for sale rather than have the tire store dispose of them. Wouldn't charge much considering how old they are...looks like 1993 if I'm reading the manufacturers date code correctly. The car was garaged so there is no real UV damage.

What do you think? Market them for few bucks or turn them into recycled carpet?

I've not cleaned them up but here is a picture:

    IMO, they are done.

Safety related, I would not want to sell them to anyone, and they fail at whatever the buyer decides to use them for.

Peaks and tweaks, but the spirit of Original

If they were the G800 Goodyear Redlines they’d be something but not the Michelins.

The tires got recycled...The TR6 got special treatment...they decided not too put it up on the rack but did it outside by hand. Now rolling on Vredestein Quatrac tires.
