  • IT'S TIME!!!! Come One, Come All

Yes kids, it's that time again. Time to start thinking about The Mitty. Dates April 23-26. Don't know what a "Mitty" is? Well, crawl out from under that rock and look at this link:
    https://myemail.constantcontact.com/...id=hi2vT8fSgf8

Now that you know what it is...do you have to ask your wife, (or significant other) if you can go? (I'm sorry if you do), Hey, no worries, tell them you need to shake off all the Winter rot and, that when you come back, (assuming you'll come back), you'll be a better person for it. If you're living right, you should have some points built up after Valentines day, so now's a good time to mention it.

Seriously, it's a good time with lots of vintage sports car racing, camping and general non-sense. Stand up and be counted so we can organize provisions.

Hey Simon....did you get that RV yet? We could sure use it...

    Cheers,

    Wolf

Yep, I agree. But if that doesn't work out, he can always bring the massive DD. That was riding in style!

Arggggg! Why oh why does this thing always have to be the same week as one of Barb's biggest art shows (meaning I have to be on-hand to set up/teardown the show).

One of these 2 things needs to move to a different date

I really enjoyed last year after a 7-year layoff! Do you guys have room for a TR3 guy this year if he promises to actually drive his car instead of the wife's Mini Cooper? It's a little more rain proof these days, the wipers actually stay on the windscreen above 40 mph.
I've got the Mitty on my calendar!

Key word “Barb’s”. somehow this implies Phil’s? Ironically, you’re saying Barb & biggest in the same sentence??

Wish it were that simple Todd.

Yes, in the case of "Barb's art shows" the name "Phil" is implied. Without that implication a variety of bad things happen. Shows don't get set up, Barb gets angry, Phil ultimately pays the price one way or the other . You're married...you know how this works.

And yes, using Barb and Big in the same sentence is rather ironic.

Still...one of these events needs to move to a different date.

O.k., granted, I'm not in the "business world" anymore, (and damn glad of it), but lets do the "think outside the box" drill...

Phil, convince Barb that she needs to expand the boundaries of her art shows and that the Mitty would be a perfect new venue to display. Just imagine walking down the paddock, you pass by a classic 914 getting ready for the next race, then a Ford GT mechanic repairing a leaky brake cylinder, then Barbs art glass booth! Perfect! The classic "win-win".

Glad I could be of help.

              Cheers,

              Kevin

In case you haven't heard, (or read), the Mitty at the end of April is cancelled and will run next April 2021. If you sent in money for tickets, it will be applied to next years running, or you can request a refund.
                Stay healthy folks,

                Cheers,
