  • Why you don't hear from me much anymore

    Hi all,

I've been quite busy lately with my new custom furnisher building business. I still ride my 6 from time to time but for now, I my hand or full of saw dust rather than oil. Here are a few pictures of my last creation, a solid red oak standing and lunch counter. The bar has 2 small refrigerators in it, a place for a dish washer and will have a pewter counter (the lower counter on the bartender???s side is made of oak. The pewter counter was fabricated in France since it???s a typical French art. I could not find anyone in north America who does this. The lunch counter is full oak and will sit 5. The complete set-up will be installed in a newly renovated basement with an 8 foot by 16 foot screen. The guy is a movie producer and he likes to watch is movies big!!

I was going to say 'good luck with the business' but with product (artwork) like that, you won't need luck, you'll need more time in the day to keep up with the demand! Thanks for posting the pictures. What type of finish will you be using?

          Cheers,

Wow Francois, that is gorgeous work.
My dad took up woodworking in his retirement and
I appreciate the skill that goes into such a creation.
Even the refridgerator doors are faced with oak and
                the hardware looks custom too.
G/L with the installation; I can't wait to see the finished product.

                            Thank you all,
Bobby, unfortunatly, the brake you see is not in my shop. It's in 'Gay Paris'. That's where the pewter guy is.
