  • Custom Bumpers Feedback Wanted

In the 7 years I've lived here in rural SW Mississippi I haven't seen another TR6, and only occassionally any other British sports car, so I'd just like to get some opinions on the bumpers that I just came up with for my 74. Try as I might I could not get the pictures on this post but you can see them on this site [www.dropshots.com/PoolBoy]. I am prepared for negative comments so don't be shy.

I've always thought the TR6 looked best with no bumpers at all--seriously.

Nice work, but the car seems incomplete without the original bumpers. To me, the bumpers finish off the "square-up" design by Karmann.

To me, they just don't look "right". I think it's primarily the way they cover the turn signals, especially on the front. They look out of place.

I hate to be "middle of the road", but I would agree that the front of the TR6 looks really nice without the bumper at all, but I think it needs it on the back to look finished.

Love the paint though, looks really sharp.

They just look odd. Perhaps if they were smaller...
            I'm really not that interesting...

Sideways. Hummm. That's easily done. I was going for that Nerf bar look; like the Cobra but I might try that. Thanks for your  !

Personally, I think the original or no bumpers at all look the best. I see what you're trying to go for though, but they look a little big to me. Maybe Speedster has an idea. Sideways??
