  • Waiting for DMV

Can't believe it is over! Just a radio to install and the seatbelts. Unfortunately I need DMV to open so I can register it and drive it legally. My test drives have been short to say the least. Thanks to all who have chipped in with knowledge and pictures!

Looks great Anthony! Hopefully, the DMV will open soon for you. I’ve got a couple projects up here that are waiting to see the road for the same reason.

    cheers,

        Congrats, Anthony! She looks wonderful!

Don't you have an "in transit" provision in your State?. Here, we can drive a car for a while with an in transit sign in the window. Even a hand made one seems to work.

                Looks really nice, Anthony.
Do you have it insured ?
If so, under the current conditions you should be able to drive it, shouldn't you ?

Thanks again. The carpet came from Rimmer, wool. Nice feel but I don't like the color match for the car. Sample colors on the Rimmer site are not that helpful. As for DMV the car was in my father in laws name. He has since passed away. The title was signed over to my ex by him in 1983 but she never registered it or got a new title. We got divorced and I kept the car. She has signed all of the paperwork to get a new title in her name, which will then be signed over to me. I then need to go in person to request another new title, in my name, and register the car. Frustrating to say the least. I got a good quote from Grundy and will insure it tomorrow. Who knows after that.
