  • Removeable third brake light

    Social Distancing during the epidemic led me to finish a little project I had been pondering for a while.

    I worry about the visibility (or lack of it) of my little British car in modern traffic. SUVs and trucks are getting bigger and bigger. So I wanted to add a temporary, additional brake light when driving to events or just exercising the car. I didn't want to make any permanent change and want to be able to remove the light easily when I get to an event, etc. There are lots of add on brake lights on Amazon and I found one that is a perfect fit on my luggage rack. (it was listed as "Fullkang F1 Style Auto Car ATV) I added a little velcro to make it very secure to the rack and ran an extension of the brake light circuit with a disconnect in the trunk. Here are some photos.

          A simple LED lightbar for about $5 on ebay. Epoxy it to the license plate frame and the wiring path feeds from the plate light opening directly above.
