I know our Chapter is pretty much defunct, but I thought this might be of interest to any of y'all on the Gulf Coast. The BMCNO is having a function this weekend, at an awesome private museum. I am going to attend, unless work gets in the way. Hope some of you can make it.

Cars of Yesteryears ? Saturday, July 23rd from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Don't miss our July club event! Wherever you live' it is worth the trip to take a journey back in time to Henry Shane's "Cars of Yesteryears" private museum. Featured are a huge collection of perfectly restored vintage automobiles of many models...U.S., British, German, you name it. There are also many other items he has collected that are sure to bring back memories of bygone days. The collection is not normally open to the public, so this will be a spe-cial experience. Our private visit is planned for Saturday, July 23 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. The museum is located at 4625 Fairfield street in Metairie....just off Clearview and West Esplanade.
Following our tour, we will have lunch at Martin's Wine Cellar at the corner of Veteran's Boulevard and Elmeer in Metairie. They have an excellent deli with a large sandwich and salad menu as well as a choice of several plate lunch specials , soup, quiche and dessert all of which are reasonably priced. (RP7/3/11)
