Thanks, but not the case. I checked the PCV and it is fine. I cleaned it anyway. There was a definite vacuum at the oil fill opening in the rocker cover.... -

SOLVED!!!! The simplest possible solution solved the issue, a new gasket in the filler cap did the trick.👍 2Leave a comment:

Dick, I replaced the old sealing washers for the hold down nuts with new ones but that did not help. I took off the PCV valve and confirmed it was neither...Leave a comment:

Oil leaking from rocker cover
My engine recently started leaking oil from the top of the aluminum rocker cover. It seems to be coming out of the vent hole in the cap, or the cap gasket....
